“HKPM Showtime Carnival” | Gazing, Listening: The Sounds from Cultural Relics, by Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble

The architecture of the Forbidden City, the artefacts of Sanxingdui, and the murals of Dunhuang—albeit originating from different times and places, and each carrying their own characters—all bear the wisdom of human civilisation. Through music, the Ensemble will bring the artefacts to life and celebrates their beauty. “With Dragons”, a new piece for eight instruments inspired by the Sanxingdui culture, will also be premiered in the concert.
