This is the inaugural advanced professional development programme launched by the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Led by the museum's director and senior management members, this two-day intensive programme features seminar sessions, exclusive guided visits, and networking activities. Participants will gain valuable insights and international perspectives on museum management, curatorial practices, and operations.

The programme aims to foster innovative thinking, enhance knowledge and management skills, and strengthen collaboration and professional exchange among participants.

  • Led by the museum's directors and senior management, this course offers insider insights into museum management, curatorial practices, and operations, sharing professional experiences and best practices from both local and international perspectives.
  • The course content is thoughtfully designed to address current industry trends and real-world challenges. It features interactive sessions and activities, both in and outside the classroom, to encourage discussions on key industry topics and foster professional exchange among participants.
  • Exclusive guided tours led by museum professionals will allow participants to explore the Hong Kong Palace Museum and West Kowloon Cultural District from an insider’s perspective. Participants will enhance their understanding of Hong Kong’s cultural landscape and gain insights into the latest developments in the art and cultural sector.

Target Audience

Designed to promote professional exchange and knowledge sharing, this course is suitable for mid to senior-level management and administrative staff in museums, art galleries and other art and cultural institutions.

Remarks
  • Please enter the Museum through the Palace Academy (LG/F). For any changes to the arrangement, please refer to the information in the Museum on the day of the event.
  • Please arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the workshop begins for registration and admission.
  • Exhibition Ticket Arrangement: This registration includes admission to all galleries (except those temporarily closed) on 15 and 16 February 2025.
  • The Hong Kong Palace Museum reserves the right to decide on all programme arrangements, including the programme content and related activities, as well as any cancellation, rescheduling, or refund arrangements due to adverse weather conditions, insufficient enrolment or other unforeseen circumstances.
