Imperial Three Low-fired Glazes Ceramic-making Workshop (Child Session)

Unleash your creativity in this ceramics workshop inspired by treasures from the Palace Museum. Learn techniques from master craftsmen and create your own porcelain. The workshop includes:

  • an introduction to ceramics and the techniques involved in their creation
  • a demonstration of how ceramics are glazed and coloured
  • a hands-on session in which participants can create ceramics to take home

*Participants can collect their ceramics at the Palace Academy 3 weeks after firing. The arrangements for this will be announced during the workshop.

Remarks

With the workshop ticket, each participant and an accompanying adult can also access our thematic exhibitions (Galleries 1 to 7) on the event day.

Please enter the Museum through the priority lane at the main entrance. For any changes to the arrangement, please refer to the information in the Museum on the day of the event. 

Please arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the workshop begins for registration and admission. 

Age Limit

The workshop is recommended for children ages 5 to 12. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult (maximum 1 adult per child, no extra ticket is needed for the accompanying adult). Each pair of participants (1 adult and 1 child) will receive one set of materials.

  • If hoisted within three hours before the event starts, the event will be suspended. Rescheduling or refund arrangements will be announced in due course.
  • If hoisted during the event, the event will continue. If it cannot continue as planned, rescheduling or refund arrangements will be announced in due course.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above

  • If hoisted three hours before the event starts, the event will be suspended. Rescheduling or refund arrangements will be announced in due course.
  • If hoisted during the event, the event will NOT continue. Rescheduling or refund arrangements will be announced in due course.

The Hong Kong Palace Museum reserves the right to reschedule or cancel events with or without refunding participants.
