Jewellery-making Workshop: Filigree

This workshop is inspired by the ancient Chinese gold and silver treasures donated by the Mengdiexuan Collection, a selection of which is now displayed in the “Passion for Collecting: Founding Donations to the Hong Kong Palace Museum” exhibition.

 

What you will get from this workshop:

  • Discover History: Understand the development and characteristics of ancient gold and silver objects.
  • Learn to Craft: Process silver into wire and learn filigree techniques such as pinching and soldering.
  • Get Creative: Design your very own masterpieces under the guidance of the instructor.

 

Please note:

  • The workshop is open to participants of all skill levels. No prior experience is required.
  • Suitable for individuals aged 13 or above.
