26 March: Echo of Heavenly Sound, by Tung Tsz Ching, Chan Tin Wai and Shih Chun Ho
Musical instruments abound in the vast crowd on the horizon, entrancing people with their unique harmonics and timbre. With a history spanning over thousands of years, Chinese music has been nurtured to embody the elegance that makes it truly remarkable.
The three performers play different roles in the field of culture and music, yet share the same passion for music education, authenticity and music-making. Featuring well-known Chinese musical instruments, such as the Huqin, Sanxian, Guzheng, Ruan, and Pipa, this performance will also introduce the Kong Hou, a spiritual Chinese harp that has been reshaped and developed in modern times. It presents the mix of innovation and tradition, as well as integrating East and West. The audience can explore and experience the beauty of Chinese culture from a new perspective with the joy of music.
