What did Sanxingdui people eat?

Staple Food: Their primary staple food was rice, supplemented with foxtail millet and broomcorn millet. They also gathered wild peas and Job’s tears (also known as Chinese pearl barley).

Protein: The unearthed animal teeth at the Sanxingdui site primarily belong to pigs and deer. Numerous pottery figurines depicting domesticated animals, including pigs, sheep, cattle, and chickens, have been discovered. It is speculated that the people at Sanxingdui raised pigs for meat and also hunted deer and fish.
