Chinese Calligraphy Masterclass: Mi Fu (Lunar New Year Special for Patrons Only)

Join us for the Palace Academy’s calligraphy workshop to create your very own Fai Chun for the Lunar New Year!

Study the masterpiece First Day of the Year (Yuanri tie) and experience what Mi Fu, one of the greatest Northern Song calligraphers, felt on New Year’s Day through brushstrokes.

This workshop includes:

  • A demonstration by an experienced calligraphy artist,
  • An in-depth look at First Day of the Year (Yuanri tie) and the techniques employed, and
  • A guided session to create your own calligraphic Fai Chun.

Explore the intricate strokes of Chinese calligraphy and discover the rich symbolism behind Lunar New Year celebrations.
