Having worked in advertising, design, and artistic creation for over fifty years since 1970, Mr Alan Chan is known for seamlessly blending Oriental and Western cultures in his contemporary designs. The “Oriental Passion, Western Harmony” design philosophy, initiated by Chan, captures and reinterprets the spirit of both in a unique style. It is well recognised by the international design scene and has made an immense impact on young designers.
Mr Alan Chan will bring over thirty objects from his personal collection to share his passion for Asian aesthetics, his perspective on the connection between collecting art, inspiration, and his art and creative journey. The talk will end with a conversation between Mr Chan and Dr Louis Ng, Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
