The Hong Kong Palace Museum’s blue and white ceramics family workshop returns with great honour!
This Set of Twelve Monthly Flower Cups was a collection by the emperor. It came from the Kangxi period (1662-1722) of the Qing dynasty and was made by Imperial Kilns, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province. It is now on display in the soon-closing Gallery 3, “Clay to Treasure: Ceramics from the Palace Museum Collection”. The exhibit carefully depicts the representative plant of each month, combining the four seasons with daily utensils. This workshop is inspired by the lotus flower cup of June. We are thrilled to invite you and your family to join us as little craftsmen from Imperial Kilns. Together you will learn to unleash your creativity and take home your own little treasure.
