In 1886, the Imperial Kilns in Jingdezhen specially made a porcelain lidded box with flowers for Empress Dowager Cixi’s 52nd birthday. Get inspired by the treasure’s exceptional craftsmanship and let your creativity run wild in our ceramic workshop!

You will get:

an introduction to ceramics and the techniques involved
a demonstration of how ceramics are glazed and coloured
a hands-on session to create your own ceramic work

The instructor will arrange for the firing of ceramic pieces. Participants’ works will be delivered by post to the given address three weeks after the workshop.
