Ancient Egyptian pharaohs wore jewellery and amulets for display, power, and protection. Participants will learn about the origins and development of ancient Egyptian ornaments, and to unleash their creativity by making a one-of-a-kind necklace with their own animal amulets.

This workshop accompanies the special exhibition “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums”, which is on view in Gallery 9 at the Hong Kong Palace Museum from 20 November 2025 to 31 August 2026. The exhibition is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt. This workshop is suitable for children aged 6 to 11. Each group is up to two people, consisting of a child and an accompanying adult. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. No additional registration is needed for the accompanying adult.
