Hong Kong Palace Museum

To complement the special exhibition “Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London”, this workshop takes you on a journey back to the remarkable era of Impressionism, a turning point in the history of European painting. You will learn the artistic practice of Van Gogh and basic techniques of Impressionist landscape painting. The workshop includes:

A guided tour of the “Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London” special exhibition (admission included)
Outdoor painting in the West Kowloon Art Park (including a set of take-home painting tools)

Come and try your hand at the captivating world of Impressionist painting!

* Participants will come into contact with paint during the workshop. Please wear suitable clothing and/or bring a small towel for cleaning.

* The location of the workshop may be changed depending on the weather and venue availability on the event day.

Age Limit

Suitable for participants aged 7 or above. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Remarks

With the workshop ticket, each participant will be eligible to access our thematic exhibitions in Galleries 1 to 7, and the “Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London” exhibition on the event day. 
Please enter the Museum through the Palace Academy (LG/F). For any changes to the arrangement, please refer to the Museum announcement on the day of the event.
Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the workshop begins for registration and admission.
