The talk invites the audience to explore the behind-the-scenes of “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums”. From shaping the exhibition’s narrative to conducting object research and interpretation, and from object handover to installation, this special exhibition embodies numerous untold stories, thoughtful details, and unforeseen challenges. The HKPM curator will reveal the curatorial journey and uncover surprises hidden in some of the exhibits.
This talk accompanies the special exhibition “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums”, which is on view in Gallery 9 at the Hong Kong Palace Museum from 20 November 2025 to 31 August 2026. The exhibition is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt. It is proudly supported by Bank of China (Hong Kong), the HKPM’s Strategic Partner, with Cathay and UnionPay International as the Major Sponsors.
