• Visitors are required to present a valid ticket (electronic or physical) and proof of eligibility (if applicable) for admission.
• To ensure best experience, please purchase your tickets and book a time slot before arrival. Same-day tickets will be available at Museum’s Ticket Office, while stocks last.
• Please arrive within your reserved time slot. Entry for late arrivals will be subject to availability.
• Entry is free for children age 6 and under (online booking and a valid concession ticket required). Visitors under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the Museum.
• During peak times, there may be queues to enter the Museum and galleries.

Car parking and EV charging facilities
Hourly parking is available. Real-time parking vacancies are displayed at the car park entrance.

Limited EV charging stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lift
LG/F to 4/F are accessible by lifts.

Baby care rooms
Baby care rooms are located on LG/F and 4/F of the Museum. Please visit the G/F Information for assistance.

First aid assistance
First aid assistance is available in the Museum. Please ask our staff for help.

Lockers
There are three locker rooms for visitors’ use.

Wheelchairs & baby strollers
Wheelchairs and baby strollers can be borrowed for free on a first-come, first-served basis at the G/F Information.

We are committed to providing an inclusive museum experience for all. We offer a wide range of barrier-free facilities and accessibility services so that visitors of all abilities and ages can enjoy and engage with our exhibitions.

Service desk
If you need help during your visit, please reach out to our staff. Alternatively, you can visit our G/F Information or LG/F Reception, where induction loops allowing direct transmission to hearing aids with telecoils are installed. All service desks are wheelchair-accessible.

Accessible parking
Accessible parking is available at the Museum’s car park, the car park near the M+ building, and at the Art Park Car Park. Limited accessible parking spaces are available for eligible users on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lifts
Lifts in the Museum building connect all floors and are wheelchair-accessible. Every lift in the Museum is equipped with an audio announcement system and braille signage.

Accessible toilets
Accessible toilets can be found on all floors. Foldable nursing beds are available in accessible toilets.

Unisex toilets
Unisex toilets can be found on the LG/F of the Museum.

Courtesy wheelchair
Manual wheelchairs may be borrowed for free on a first-come, first-served basis at the G/F Information. These wheelchairs are for use within the Museum only and may not be taken outside the building.

Baby strollers
Baby strollers may be borrowed for free on a first-come, first-served basis at the G/F Information. These strollers are for use within the Museum only and may not be taken outside the building.

Tactile guide path and braille & tactile floor plan
Tactile guide paths are installed throughout the Museum, connecting the entrances, service desks, accessible lifts, escalators, and accessible toilets. Tactile floor plans are located near the lift lobby and male and female toilets on each floor.

Guide dogs
Visitors with trained guide dogs are welcome in all galleries and facilities.

Induction loop
Induction loop systems are installed at various locations in the Museum, including:
LG/F Reception,
G/F Tickets, and
G/F Information.

1. Valid ticket or pass must be presented for admission to the Museum. Museum ticket or pass holders may be required to produce identity proof upon admission.
2. Tickets and other entitlements are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, not for re-sale, and void if altered. Special events may require a separate admission charge.
3. All persons and items may be subject to security checks at the Museum entrances and within the Museum. We reserve the right not to allow any item we deem inappropriate to be brought into the Museum.
4. Item larger than 55cm x 35cm x 20cm, including bags, boxes, and luggage, and any long umbrellas, folding chairs, and stools will not be permitted in the Museum. Special size restriction on baggage may apply to particular exhibition or venue.
5. Wheeled luggage, carriers, and recreational devices (such as skateboards, scooters, inline skates, and shoes with built-in wheels) are not allowed.
6. Dangerous or hazardous materials are prohibited, including flammable and corrosive substances; cans or objects which may pose risk to any person or property; firearms, ammunition, or offensive weapons of any kind; and objects that resemble weapons.
7. Glassware is prohibited in the Museum, with the exceptions of baby food containers and bottled wine to be consumed in the Museum restaurants. Strictly no glassware is allowed in the galleries.
8. Plants and flowers are not allowed.
9. Please do not bring inflated balloons into the Museum. It is also prohibited to fly a kite, drone, or model aircraft inside the building.
10. Visitors are required to wear proper attire, including shoes and shirts. We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate.
11. Please place your umbrellas in the carrying cases or the umbrella stand in the Museum on rainy days.
12. Please take care of your children and the elderly. Visitors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
13. With the exception of trained assistance dogs including guide dogs, hearing assistance dogs or service dogs, pets and other animals are not allowed in the Museum. Trained assistance dogs must always wear identifying vests or tags and remain on a leash or in a harness and under the control of the owner.
14. Please be respectful to other visitors and our staff.
15. Please do not make excessive noise inside the Museum. Please switch your phones or other sound-making devices to silent mode. If you wish to make a phone call, please be considerate in volume.
16. We reserve the right to deny admission or to ask visitors to leave the Museum without compensation or liability for failing to comply with any of our instructions or engaging in unsafe, illegal, or unruly behaviour.
17. No entry is allowed into non-public areas without permission. For security reasons, surveillance cameras are used at the public areas of the Museum.
18. Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes or other vaping devices, is only allowed in designated area outside the Museum. Please refer to the floor plan or ask our staff.
19. Without the prior consent of the Museum, you are not allowed to deliver any public speech, lecture, or sermon in the Museum’s indoor and outdoor premises.
20. Without the prior consent of the Museum, you are not allowed to conduct, take part or enter into any public discussion, public debate, public meeting or public procession in the Museum’s indoor and outdoor premises.
21. Any distribution of unauthorised printed or recorded materials of any kind, unauthorised demonstrations, speeches or public gatherings; and the usage of any flag, banner, or sign to incite a crowd are prohibited.
22. Begging or soliciting alms, gambling, touting, or any unlawful or immoral activities are prohibited.
23. The sale or display of any goods or services is not allowed, except with the written approval of the Museum.
24. Please do not touch, move or lean against any exhibits unless specifically allowed by the Museum. A safe distance should be maintained from all exhibits, cases, platforms, and pedestals. To protect the exhibits, please carry your backpack on your front.
25. No food, drink or chewing gum in the galleries.
26. Please do not run or play inside the Museum.
27. Please mind your personal belongings. We do not assume liability or responsibility for any damage to or loss of property left unattended.
28. We encourage you to dispose of recyclable materials and waste responsibly. Garbage bins are provided throughout the Museum.
29. Unless specified otherwise, you are welcome to take photos or videos for personal use; however, flash photography, selfie sticks, monopods and tripods are prohibited.
30. You must not write upon, mark, soil, or otherwise damage any objects or properties of the Museum. Visitors may be liable to pay for items they damage.
31. Additional restrictions which visitors will need to abide by may apply to special exhibitions and events.
32. We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and voice of any visitor who enters the Museum and use the same for educational, media, or editorial purposes and may be used on the web, social media platforms, in publications, or as promotional materials used by the Museum and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. We also reserve the right to close any gallery for video recording or photography.
33. We may, without prior notice and without refund, compensation or liability, modify these guidelines, change the operating hours of the Museum, close the Museum or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of visitors, and/or suspend or cancel any programme or exhibitions to ensure safety, security or order, or if we consider that the circumstances so require.
34. We reserve the right to change, alter, add, delete, suspend, revise and update all information in this document at any time at our absolute discretion without giving any prior notice. Please check prior to your visit to ensure you are aware of the latest information.
35. In case of dispute in relation to any of the above, the Museum’s decision will be final. In the event of conflict or inconsistency between the two versions, the English version shall prevail.

Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning / Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3

• The Museum will remain open. Outdoor exhibitions and events may be suspended.

Black Rainstorm Warning

• If hoisted before opening hours:
  The Museum will remain closed until the signal is lowered. The Museum will re-open three hours after the signal is lowered. If the signal is cancelled or lowered less than four hours from the normal closing time, the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day.
• If hoisted during opening hours:
  The Museum will remain open with limited operations. All outdoor exhibitions and events will be suspended.
• In the above two situations, the validity of the unused tickets will be extended for 180 days starting from the day of the inclement weather. Visitor can retain and bring the original tickets for admission at the same timeslot within the validity period. Please refer to Plan Your Visit or call +852 2200 0217 for opening hours.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above

• If hoisted before opening hours:
  The Museum will remain closed until the signal is lowered. The Museum will re-open three hours after the signal is lowered. If the signal is cancelled or lowered less than four hours from the normal closing time, the Museum will remain closed for the rest of the day.
• If hoisted during opening hours:
  The Museum will be closed.
  Some venues may have different operating hours in times of inclement weather. Please check with the individual venues for the most up-to-date information.
• In the above two situations, the validity of all tickets will be extended for 180 days starting from the day of the inclement weather.
