Experience Chinese gold craftsmanship and appreciate the ancient gold artefacts through an interactive storytelling theatre.

What the students will get from this workshop:

    • Seek and Discover: Uncover the fascinating stories behind ancient gold artefacts.
    • Observe and Explore: Appreciate the exquisite ancient gold artefacts and bring the hidden animals to light.
    • Hands-on Experience: Pick up the tools and become a “little goldsmith” to learn Chinese gold craftsmanship.

This activity is part of the “Chinese Gold Craftsmanship Heritage Education Programme” organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and lead sponsored by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group.

The workshop is recommended for K.2 and K.3 students.

Remarks
  • Please obtain permission from the school principal / person-in-charge before participating in the above workshop.
  • Each school may register for a maximum of 1 workshop session. Spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
  • The sponsorship for this program allows for up to 35 student participants per school. Minimum number of participants per session is 25 students.
  • The Museum will contact successful applicants within 14 working days to confirm the date and time of the visit. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with details of the workshop.
  • Once the workshop session is confirmed, no changes or withdrawals will be accepted.
  • Please enter the Museum through the Palace Academy (LG/F). For any changes to the arrangement, please refer to the information in the Museum on the day of the event.
  • Please arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the workshop begins for registration and admission.
  • Please ensure there are sufficient teachers to accompany your students at the Museum. The recommended teacher-to-student ratio for kindergarten workshops is 1:6.
  • If any school fails to attend without justification, it may affect its future opportunities to participate in educational activities organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above / Class suspension announced by Education Bureau due to inclement weather

    • If hoisted three hours before the event starts, the event will be suspended. Rescheduling arrangements will be announced in due course.
