In ancient Egypt, cats were sacred animals. Bastet, a goddess revered as a household guardian, was often depicted with a cat-headed human body. Temples dedicated to the cat deity were found throughout the land. Participants will learn about the history of ancient Egyptian cat temples and the latest archaeological discoveries, while exploring the wonders of sacred animal cults in ancient Egyptian culture.
