Sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, HKPM SHOWTIME! is presented in collaboration with top-tier performing arts organisations and artists, with the aim of introducing the HKPM to new audiences.

Through the mediums of music, dance, theatre, and more, the performances will bring to life the opening of the Museum, as well as topics related to Chinese art, history, and the dialogue between different cultures.

16 April: Listening While Painting, by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

Inspire your little artists with live Chinese music and the Museum’s myriad of cultural relics! Participants will learn how to paint with the help of instructors while listening to the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra’s performances and intriguing stories about the exhibits.

Age Limit

Session 1: The activity is recommended for children ages 4 to 7.

Session 2: The activity is recommended for children ages 8 to 12.

Children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum 1 adult per child, no registration is needed for the accompanying adult).

Remarks
  • Please enter the Museum through the Palace Academy (LG/F). For any changes to the arrangement, please refer to the information in the Museum on the day of the event.
  • Please arrive at the Palace Academy 20 minutes before the performance begins for admission.
  • Registered visitors have to arrive before the performance starts to confirm their place. The Hong Kong Palace Museum reserves the right to release any unconfirmed places to walk-in visitors. A limited number of walk-in slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to visitors.
  • The organiser reserved the right to make changes to the programme without prior notice.

  • If hoisted during the event, the event in progress will NOT continue and participants may register for another session.
