Dazhao Jin

Dazhao Jin, holds a master’s degree in Fine Arts and is currently a fellow and Deputy of the metal restoration team at The Palace Museum.

He is recognised as a sixth-generation inheritor of China's national intangible heritage representative project, titled “Bronze Restoration and Duplication Skills”.

Additionally, he serves as a technical personnel member for the National Key Research and Development Programme under China’s “National 14th Five-Year Plan”, titled “Development and Utilisation of Key Technologies and Equipment for Mobile X-Ray Tomography of Cultural Relics,” as well as for the Special Project of Unpopular Extinctive Subjects of National Social Science Fund of China, titled “Research on the Cloisonné Enamel Collection in the Forbidden City”.

He is also a member of the State Key Laboratory of the “China-Greece Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Cultural Heritage Conservation Technology”.

Zheng Cui

Zheng Cui, holds a master’s degree and is currently an associate research fellow at The Palace Museum. She joined The Palace Museum’s textile team in 2014, specialising in the conservation and research of textile collections. Currently, she oversees the operations of her department. 

Zheng Cui has been involved in several significant projects, including a project from the National Key Research and Development Programme titled “In Situ Assessment Methods for Typical Diseases and Deterioration Degrees of Valuable Organic Cultural Relics in Museums”. She has also contributed to a sub-project within the same programme, “Research on Value Recognition and Key Technologies of Qing Dynasty Inherited Textile Artefacts”. Additionally, she has led the development of The Palace Museum's standard for the “Disease Classification and Diagram of The Palace Museum Textile Collections”.

Suhong Shang

Suhong Shang, an associate research fellow who graduated from the University of Science and Technology of Beijing, majoring in History of Science and Technology. She works in the Conservation Department, where she engages in the conservation of metal cultural relics and conducts research on surface decoration. 

Her current research focuses on metal artefacts adorned with black decorative layers from The Palace Museum’s collection. She conducts systematic studies on the niello-inlaid objects in The Palace Museum's collection, revealing rare surface decorative techniques.

Lu Wang

Associate Research Fellow

Lu Wang, holds a master's degree from the Chinese National Academy of Arts. She is currently an associate research fellow in the Conservation Department at The Palace Museum. She has 15 years of research and practical experience in mounting and conservation of ancient paintings and calligraphy.

She has contributed to major restoration projects of the Qianlong Garden and the Hall of Mental Cultivation, expertly restoring hundreds of relics from The Palace Museum’s collection, together with over 100 pieces of Chinese paintings and calligraphy.

Additionally, she participated in the research and restoration project of affixed hanging (tieluo) at the Hall of Mental Cultivation, as well as the “Research on the movable organic cultural artefacts” projects as part of the National Key Research and Development Programme (National 13th Five-Year Plan).
