To complement the special exhibition “The Forbidden City and The Palace of Versailles: China-France Cultural Encounters in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries”, we invite you and your children to join this storytelling theatre, travelling back in time to experience the cultural exchanges between China and France in the 17th and 18th centuries. Through interactive storytelling, you will gain an understanding of the knowledge exchange in science, astronomy, and art between the two masters of the Forbidden City and the Palace of Versailles— the Kangxi Emperor and Louis XIV. Get creative and use craft materials to create theatre props!
