Jewellery–making Workshop

13.08.2023
11:00 am–1:30 pm
Merit Hall

Try your hand at silver jewellery making! Inspired by our special exhibition “Radiance: Ancient Gold from the Hong Kong Palace Museum Collection and the Mengdiexuan Collection”, this workshop explores the use and development of animal designs in jewellery. You will create a unique silver pendant with an animal design using hammering techniques.

Workshop content:

  • A brief introduction of silversmithing taught by metal artist Ng Sze Yu
  • A demonstration of the tools and hammering techniques
  • Creating your own silver pendant

All tools and materials are ready for you and don’t miss this opportunity to create your own animal-inspired silver jewellery!

Remark: We want to ensure that your experience in our jewellery-making workshop is as comfortable as possible. As you work on your creations, you may occasionally hear some sounds of hammering and metalworks. Please ask our staff for a pair of earplugs.
