Mr Rubio Chan

Mr Rubio Chan is co-founder of DeWonder Travel, best-selling author, TV host and university lecturer. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a major in International Relations. He co-founded DeWonder Travel to provide travellers with in-depth experiences across ancient civilisations and opportunities to explore their history and culture firsthand.

Mr Amjad Refai

Director, Arabic Programme, The University of Hong Kong

Mr Amjad Refai is a seasoned Egyptologist and language educator with a profound passion for antiquity. Before settling in Hong Kong, he spent over a decade lecturing on ancient history, culture, and the Ancient Egyptian language. Since relocating, he has continued sharing his linguistic and cultural expertise for another decade. A dedicated scholar, he served as Editor-in-Chief of The Heritage of Egypt Magazine for five years and has authored specialised textbooks on teaching Arabic and deciphering hieroglyphs. Today, Amjad Refai bridges the past and present as a weekly columnist for The Standard and the Director of the Arabic Programme at the University of Hong Kong, a position he has held for seven years.

Dr Daisy Wang

Deputy Director and Chief Curator, Hong Kong Palace Museum

An award-winning international curator and institutional leader, Dr Daisy Yiyou Wang is responsible for the strategic and managerial direction of the Museum’s ambitious exhibition programme and curatorial research. Dr Wang also leads the Museum’s Design and Publishing teams. Dr Wang directed the Museum’s Conservation and Collection and Learning and Engagement teams from 2019 to 2026 when she supported the Museum Director to develop and implement transformative strategic plans for audience building and collection development.
