How was the life of the ancient Egyptians? What do archaeologists do? Discover both at the Hong Kong Palace Museum in a single day!

This enriching family day camp combines a guided exhibition tour, hands-on exploration, and a creative workshop. Dressed in Egyptian-inspired costumes, you and your children will travel back in time to uncover the everyday stories and spiritual beliefs behind ancient treasures. You will also step into the shoes of an archaeologist to gain insights into this fascinating civilisation through a simulated excavation.

What participants will get from this event:

  • Experience Archaeology: Experience the work of archaeologists through simulated activities, including excavation, artefact searching, and reconstruction.
  • Get Creative: Create and take home an animal-themed canopic jar, a container commonly used during the mummification process.
