Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the lockers. By using the lockers, you are deemed to have agreed to and accepted these terms and conditions.
The lockers are open to all visitors on a first-come-first-serve basis and operated in a self-service way. We, Hong Kong Palace Museum, do not check the deposited items in advance and are not responsible for the contents and any kinds of loss caused by the deposited item(s).
Please ensure that the locker is cleared on the day of your visit. All items stored in the locker must be collected within 30 minutes after the museum's closing time.
Please maintain good condition of the locker(s) and clear all belongings and trash inside.
Storage of following items in the locker(s) is prohibited:
1. Any article or materials which are inflammable, dangerous, or of an offensive, obnoxious and/or corrosive nature; or
2. Any narcotics, restricted drugs, explosive, firearms, ammunitions, food, improperly packaged/unpackaged food, contents that produce strong odors, pirated materials, cash, valuables, live animals, plants and/or perishable items; or
3. Any illegal or unlawful article(s).
Please read and follow the steps as illustrated in the Electronic Locker User Guidelines when using the locker(s) and take good care of the locker(s) all the time. Please ensure that the locker door is closed and locked properly before leaving.
If you fail to claim and collect the items within the time limit as mentioned in Clause 3 above, we reserve the right to open the locker(s) at anytime thereafter and dispose the items deposited in whatever way we deem fit and we and/or our representative shall not be liable to you and any other person for any claims whatsoever in respect of such act.
If you forget the password, you should report to our administrator immediately. You shall provide valid identification document (e.g. passport or HKID Card) for registration and proof of the details of the items. Upon being reasonably satisfied as to the veracity of such report, we will allow you to retrieve the items. We will not be responsible for the losses or damages whether resulting from forgetting the password, false reports or from any other cause whatsoever.
You shall not hinder/obstruct the others from using the locker(s).
If we suspect that the locker is stored with any such article(s) mentioned in Clause 5 above or is being used for illegal purpose(s), we may report any suspicious cases to the police or any government authorities without notice to you, and the locker may be opened for inspection and the locker service be terminated. No fees paid shall be refunded. You shall be solely liable for any damages or losses caused to us or any third parties including our expenses in checking and handling the deposit items, whether or not the use is in breach of these terms or conditions.
You shall be solely responsible for any or all losses or damages to the contents of the locker(s) if the locker(s) is/are opened pursuant to above clause and we shall not be liable for the same in any way whatsoever.
We will not be liable for any losses or damages caused by the failure of the locker system. To the extent permissible under applicable laws, we shall not be liable for any losses, damages, injury or death arising from the use of the lockers.
We shall have the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
