Dialogues around arts and culture have always played an essential role in the creative process and constitute a key source of inspiration for Cartier. As such, the series of "Cartier Art Dialogues" is another expression of the importance given to sharing different artistic visions and perspectives of experts to accelerate the transmission of ideas and knowledge.
Held in conjunction with the special exhibition “Cartier and Women”, organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum, this new edition of Cartier Art Dialogues organised by Cartier with the support of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, is themed “Women: Beyond Definitions”, comprising three compelling conversations:
Talk 1: The Female Body in Art
A discussion exploring how art and performance can be seen through time as a way for female artists to reclaim control over their own bodies.
Talk 2: Women Creatives, Women Entrepreneurs
A sharing session on realising vision and overcoming the challenges encountered by both women creatives and entrepreneurs in their educational and professional path.
Talk 3: Women on Film - Beyond Stereotypes and Archetypes in Cinema
A panel dedicated to the analysis of women's representation in cinema from a variety of culture – how female characters have both reinforced and subverted archetypes and stereotypes, influencing how women are represented in society.
About “Cartier Art Dialogues”:
The first chapter of this series of conversations took place at the Hermitage Museum in Saint-Petersburg in February 2021, during the “Cartier: Passing on Heritage and Savoir-Faire – Masterpieces from the Hermitage Museum and Cartier Collection” exhibition.
